About Us

Who are we?

Savitri and Satyavan

Our history:
Since 2002 working in Sao Paulo, Zona Norte (YogaLife: Institute of Yoga and Meditation) our school has been developing unique activities geared to the practice of Yoga and Meditation, with the aim of fully developing the human being - body - mind and spirit integrated.
With the need to expand our work and deepen them in the mid-2009, the project Ashram - Yoga Divine Center comes - inspired by the models of the centers of spiritual development in India - based on scientific and philosophical principles of yoga - one place inside nature witch is conducive for achieving peace of mind and insight, away from the hallucinatory stimuli from large urban centers and easy access to the people of these towns (50 minutes from São Paulo), a small oasis for people to recharge their energies and experience yoga in its essence, with regular practice of yoga and meditation, simple food - lacto-vegetarian and simple accommodations.

Objective of our work:
Offer workshops, lectures, workshops, daily practices and live weekly programs that take the human being to regain or maintain their physical, emotional, mental and spiritual stability, through the practice of Yoga, learning, experiencing and incorporating this in their day-to-day, making it more rich and full of positive experiences that will take you to a full and healthy existence.

Our program of activities:
It covers activities of daily yoga and meditation, retreats, mini retreats, weekly programs, Yoga teacher Training Course, Meditation, Lectures and Workshops that will be offered throughout the year - more information see schedule of activities.

Our Logo:
It was created from the concept and the shape of the leaf of Ginkgo Biloba, a plant considered a living fossil that has survived the attacks of the atomic bomb on Hiroshima.
The concept of strength, determination and austerity (tapas - one of the ethical principles of Yoga Nyama) are well represented by this plant of Oriental origin, such as Yoga.
The leaf shape is a fan-Y stylized that makes the initial letter of the logo in the word Yoga, lightness and balance of the letters were also representations that are part of Yoga practice as well as green colors that relate to nature in its perfection, beauty and healing.
Ginkgo trees are long-lived (up to 100 years of existence) and their property is herbal improve the blood circulation in the brain, improving memory and mental faculties, these objectives also achieved through the practice of Yoga. Therefore, the representation and the relationship between this plant and Yoga are properly integrated into the symbolic form of existence and practice.
